St. Jude Trike-A-Thon

The kids participated in their first official act of charity... The MOMS Club organized a trike-a-thon to benefit the children of St. Jude. Jack and Grace received a few donations and then rode like the wind! It's a wonderful program, if you are looking to organize an event for your pre-school group, this organization would be well worth your hard work. Best of all, the kids are helping kids! It was really easy and as a club we raised over $600.00! We have all the way until Friday, so if you want to contribute, there is still time! When I asked Jack what he thought about helping other kids that are sick, he said that "it's good." Then we told him that those kids don't have money to go to the doctor and he said "why?" (I told you Joy School has really got him thinking)! But it made me wish I was him! Especially when we received the bill for his MRI today - it sure made me grateful for our insurance and for Jeremey working to earn it. We're so lucky in so many ways and it's a blessing to be reminded of it. Anyway, when it comes down to it, he thought it was a big race and said over and over that HE was going to WIN! Lining up... Jack and Milan... always together... Jack and Lila, she's in Joy School... These kids rode and rode and rode and we finally had to stop them! It was amazing, not one of them stopped of even slowed down, I think it could have gone on forever! Time to celebrate with a picnic! And all of the MOMS! Yay! PS. Look for us in the Chino Hills Champion - I wrote my first press release! and more pictures are here...

He's fine... He started walking on his toes, so they were looking for something to explain that. They didn't explain the toe walking, but they did find a cyst on his left frontal lobe. It's supposed to be asymptomatic, so I guess it's all good. Just scary. And of course tons and tons of follow up appointments... :) Thanks for asking! Hope you guys are all doing well.

That is TOTALLY scary, I'm thinking about you guys. Glad it sounds ok though. Those appointments are not fun.
