Another Old One

I was looking through the pictures that I haven't blogged yet and I was wondering why we had this fun day.  By the time I got to this picture, it dawned on me that it was MY birthday! That's why it was so fun! I turned 30 this year.  Jeremey and I celebrated with a night out and then we celebrated with my family and Lauren and Doug and Reese! It was so much fun!
We went swimming,

 played with Reese,

BBQ'd and ate cake and ice cream!
 And played on Papa's motorcycle...

So far, 30 has been a blast and I know I'm going to love the rest of the year too!

Jack's Real Birthday

I'm so far behind, I don't know if I'll ever catch up! Did you notice? I never posted Jack's real birthday! Well here it is! We celebrated at Disneyland!

He started off hanging with the green army men:

Then we went on the Ferris wheel and went to get our tortilla.  He was so excited to get a WHOLE bag!

Then we headed over to Disneyland.
Jack decided that he wanted to find out what was inside of Pixie Hallow... I think he was a little disappointed.

We did go inside of Sleeping Beauty's castle and we got to visit with her!

Jack's BFF met up with us and Daddy came from work!

Then we celebrated at Rain Forest with Grama and Grampa!

Jack rode home with Daddy and Grace rode with me... And on our way to the car Gracie just had to pose a couple of times...

And the next day, when we were all finally home together, he got to open his presents from mommy and daddy...

Happy Fifth Birthday Jack!

A Quick Review of the Week...

The first exciting thing that we did this week was visit a dairy.  The Joy School kids (and their siblings) had an awesome time.  The "farmer" is a friend of one of the ladies and he filled us with information and was so patient and helpful!
This calf was 30 minutes old!
 Getting ready for the tour...
 A close up.

All the kids also got a chance to feed this calf, she was born the day before.

This is their cow named Goof-ball.  She's one of the few to get more than just a number and it's just because she has so much personality.  He said that from the time she was born she always licked and played with his kids, so she had to have a name...  She was the only one (out of 5,000) that didn't shy away when the kids walked by. They had a great time petting her.

Then... On Thursday, we had a Halloween Party.  Jack decided that he'd rather go to school than hang out with moms club, so it was just Grace and I. And her costume isn't even ready yet.

Finally, on Friday, we got to visit the Aquarium of the Pacific.  We started with the shark tank, Jack's been dying to pet them.  He couldn't remember the last time he was there.

And he was really excited about the sting rays too.

Then we checked out the big sharks.  He totally knows all of their names.  We have SO many shark books and he loves them.
But this guy, he totally scared Grace.  He was coming right at her and she wouldn't go back after...
Then it was time to check out the sea lions and seals.

  Pet some more Rays
Totally surprised to see the underside of the sea star...
And they got to pet the little things.

Then we went back inside... Gracie got up close and personal:

And we found one more shark.
And then it was dinner time!
