Little Peanut
I went to a new doctor. I love the practice - every person that I talked to was wonderful and I really, really liked the doctor. They are going to let me try to deliver vaginally (Jack was a C-section). But it pretty much has to be an absolutely perfect pregnancy and in the end, the ultrasound will have to estimate the baby's weight to be below 9lbs. Given Jeremey's genetics, we have a slim chance. He and all of his brothers were really big babies. Then if I do get to attempt to deliver, I will have monitors inside my uterus and if there is the slightest bit of distress, I will have an immediate c-section.
I'm glad that they are taking our health very seriously and that they are giving me a chance to deliver naturally. It's pretty hard to find a doctor and hospital that will let you attempt a VBAC, so I'm really grateful to find these doctors and that they're nice. We can only wait and see how it all goes... here's the first baby picture!
Another week...
Now he's pretending to be scared of it...
Then he said "eat, eat" and I gave him a cracker to eat, thinking that he must be hungry.
Jack wasn't hungry, but he is good at sharing.... I still love watching him walk, it's so cute...We also got to go to Bupa Kevin's company picnic - and let me just say that this is not a regular company picnic. First thing Grandma and Bupa won a new computer... When we got there, we had hot dogs, jumped in the jumper, got a tattoo, played the games in the booths and got more lunch and then popsicles! Please, please don't let me forget that Jack got to sit in the cement truck AND honk the horn!!! He even got to see tractors and he hasn't stopped talking about it yet. On a normal day, I get to hear about Bupa's truck about 3 times. But so far this week, the conversation will not end. "Bupa truck - honk, honk (while making the motion). Bupa truck. And tractor , psss" (that's the sound the tractors make in Cars). Over and over, then I get to hear about the jumper. "Bump, bump, booboo? bump, bump - it broke (they let the air out for a few minutes), bump, bump all done." I love that he remembers things and wants to tell me about it. Every time he remembers, it's as if he's having as much fun as he did on Sunday when he did it for the first time. He just lights up with excitement.
Today he got to hang out with Grandma Karen and Bupa Kevin and his GG's. He told Grandma Karen "2 grandmas and 2 bupas" - wow he's smart, I can't imagine trying to figure out who everybody is... He also got to talk to Auntie Shellee on the phone. I heard he didn't say much, so we'll have to try that again another time, I know he misses her.

I just had to post this...
And this is Jack watching that video:
I think he could watch videos of himself all day! It's too funny...
We went to Jeremey's cousin Jennifer's bridal shower on Sunday. Jack really, really needed a nap, but he managed to have a good time with Tyler...
And with me...The other night Jack fingerpainted and Daddy asked him what was on his nose. One thing lead to another and this is what happened... We might have to work it into a halloween costume because he LOVED it! He couldn't stop staring at himself in the mirror!

First Sunday of Football
All better!!!
One more birthday...
Then he played with Legos
He picked up this box, showed mommy and Lauren and then as he got up, he called for Daddy ... Smart kid, he knew there was no way mom would buy it for him!
And then he practiced being a big brother - doesn't he look thrilled?
All in all, it was a fun night - thanks Lauren and Doug!

Jack's Two!!!
As an update... at his two year old appointment, Jack is three feet tall and 30lbs. So if you double his height at two, like the old wives tale, he should be six feet tall as an adult. He is a ton of personality and talks like crazy. Most of the time Jeremey and I understand, but others may not. His favorite word right now is milk. "Pease milk, pease, milk pease" (if I say the combination in different orders, will you get it any faster)? And this goes on all day and sometimes in the night. I think he's going to become calcified or something... Since he got his molars he hasn’t been sleeping as well as he was before. He never used to have his bottle in bed, but now he wants sippy cups in bed. Um no, you’re going to get cavities!
He says lots of things, some of my favorites are: “oh no,” “oh great,” “jeez,” “more” which sounds like moon, “pease,” “cheese?,” “peanut butter,” I can’t even begin to explain what that sounds like, banana which sounds like bana, “crash” sounds like cash and is usually followed by an “oh no.” He loves to say “two.” He says it when he has two things and when he’s pretending to count – “two, two, two, two” um, that’s four honey… He says play. When he wakes up in the morning it usually starts with a giggle and if he’s still a little tired he asks for milk, but if not he says “play? Choo-choo?” And out we go. A little later, or some times right away he asks, “park? walk?”
We walk to the park most days and he loves that, especially if we see bunnies or lizards. He has also started running and I mean running (okay, not as fast as Aiden, but too fast for me). There is a soccer field at the park and he will run the length of it and sometimes back and in lots and lots of circles. It’s great and he usually falls asleep in the stroller on the way home! He still favors the swings at the park. He’s not real big on the slides, but is a really good climber. He also loves playing in the sand. We usually bring some trucks and a shovel and he loves that.
His favorite toys are still his cars, but trains have also risen to the top of the list. He puts the train tracks together all by himself and has even more fun taking them apart. He loves books and he can reach both of his book shelves, so he gets them out all the time. His favorites are Rainbow Rob and Green Eggs and Ham. But he also loves all of his Cars books (they’re just not mom’s favorite). His favorite shows are Sesame Street and Thomas the Train and his favorite movie is Cars, but he still loves his ‘La la.’ He also likes Incredibles and Finding Nemo. But we try to limit TV. the best we can. He will usually not watch any more than an hour a day. Mommy loves skipping scenes in movies, and I’m dreading the days when he figures out what I’m doing. He’s really good at the puzzles that he has and can sort shapes. He knows his colors, blue is still his favorite but he knows yellow, purple, green, black, pink, orange and is finally saying red. He tries to sing along with the a,b,c’s he gets a few letters right. I can tell he’s interested, so that’s good.
For the most part, he’s usually in a good mood. He smiles at people and says hi to them all the time. People are always smiling at him too and he gets a lot of compliments. He’s very active and doesn’t like to be too contained that is usually our main disagreement, but that’s part of being two. All in all, he’s really fun to hang out with, we’re really lucky to have such a cool kid.
