Dreams Really Do Come True

And sometimes it's because of Disneyland!

Sometime before his birthday we visited Disneyland and he was FINALLY chosen for Jedi training.  I cannot explain how exciting this was for him and it really set the tone for his Star Wars birthday party! He was the very first kid chosen to go into the training.  They get to wear a real robe and they get to use training light sabers!

 He's waiting to fight Darth Mal and would obviously rather be focusing on the task at hand than smiling at me. :)

 At the end, they whole group gets Darth Vader and Darth Mal to leave, he was very happy!

 They get a training certificate that says they're an official Padawan - very exciting!

I'm so glad he got to have this experience, he loved it!

Disneyland with Grama and Papa!

Grama and Papa had a vacation day and we decided to take a trip to Disneyland! They don't have passes, so it was fun to do Disneyland like it's your only day there. It's such a different experience instead of just thinking that you'll come back tomorrow. But no matter how you do Disneyland, if you do it with Jack, you have to go on Buzz first...Then the big people went on the Matterhorn and Grace and I visited Pixie Hallow for the first time - SO cute! She ran up and hugged Tink right away! But then had second thoughts so I had to get in the official picture. Did you know there's a petting zoo? It's the cleanest petting zoo that I've ever seen!After the petting zoo, we went on Big Thunder and Jack kept his hands up the WHOLE time! Then we went on the railroad - something we'd never done before... This is the late afternoon and they're still smiling! Jungle Cruise... And ice cream and fireworks! One of the cast members showed us the best spot to watch, it was awesome! Then they both feel asleep in the stroller on the way out - a good time was had by all! Thank you Grama and Papa!

This was a fun day that we had a Disneyland a while back... This is my little ham waiting in line to see Minnie Mouse. She was really excited. I think this is her modeling face. :) And then we waited to see Mickey too... But perhaps this is their favorite ride of all...

Wordless Wednesday: The Sweetest Thing

Disney Saturday...

Last Saturday, we had a quick little Disney day and it was perfect - there were hardly any lines and we went on all kinds of rides that we usually avoid because of lines... Dumbo is one of those rides... Jack doesn't really care about riding it and the line is usually 20 minutes or so... this time, there was no wait! Gracie never misses the carousel... Jack and Daddy even went on Mr. Toads... Then the boys went on Thunder Mountain and I made Gracie pose for pictures... Then while the boys went on Pirates, Grace and I staked out a spot for the new parade... It's the characters from the Princess and the toad. Without even knowing what we were doing, we had a perfect spot! First they walked right past us and Grace was so excited (she even got beads)... Then they go and get on the boat and the boat stopped RIGHT in front of us and we watched the whole show! It was really cute! After a while we went over to California Adventure... Jack just had to say hi to his good friends! While Gracie napped... The boys went on the squid ride... Then we played and played ... This girl has no fear of all of the net bridges and things that are up so high and scare me! What a fun day!
