St. Patrick's Day

or if you're Jack, it's called "Jack Lindstedt Day." Silly guy, he knows that Patrick is part of his name, but still gets it all confused.

But anyway, a little leprechaun came to visit. He left foot prints and golden candy and turned the milk green and the toilet water and the eggs! They were so excited, but Grace refused to eat or drink anything that had turned green. She is so different from Jack. Jack loves anything new or exciting or different, in many ways, Grace is much less adventurous - at least in the area of food. She was generally upset about that leprechaun all day.

I think next year we'll make a trap!

St. Patrick's Day

In the days leading up to St. Patrick's day, Jack was referring to it as Jack Lindstedt Day. His middle name is Patrick, but somehow he just turned it into his own day. But he was surprised to find out that it wasn't all about him and I had a great time playing little leprechaun tricks all day. When he woke up, there were green balloons, garland, gold candy and GOLD (pennies). There was also "leprechaun" dust with footprints in it. He was a little overwhelmed at first. The first thing that Jack likes in the morning is his milk, but the milk was extra special. He had to drink it out of a real glass and when I poured it in, it magically turned green! He was AMAZED! This face was a few minutes after I did it - he was still so excited. There were other things, like the toilet water. But he had to have green eggs and then he asked me if the rice at lunch was going to be green too - so of course it was. Over all, it was a really fun day and an exciting new tradition! I can't wait for next year.
